Jujutsu Kaisen Season 2: when it will air, episodes, and information regarding Gojo's comeback

 

Jujutsu Kaisen Season 2 makes a powerful comeback, offering fans an exciting new adventure filled with curses and supernatural battles.

Prepare for an epic return to the world of Jujutsu Kaisen when its long-awaited second season debuts on July 6, 2023. Learn more about episode counts, streaming platforms and more in this ultimate Jujutsu Kaisen Season 2 guide.

For continuity, we expect the next season to have at least 20 episodes, maybe more. The first season lasted 24 episodes.

The first season of Jujutsu Kaisen ended with the conclusion of the Death Arc, which lasted from chapters 55-64 of the manga. It has now been confirmed that the second season will first adapt Gojo's past arc, covering chapters 65-79 of the manga.

It revolves around - you guessed it - Gojo's past, specifically the mission where Gojo and Geto sent the Star Plasma Ship to Tengen.

Jujutsu Kaisen Season 2 also adapts the Shibuya event (Chapters 79-136). We're not going into spoiler territory, don't worry, but the Shibuya Incident arc revolves around a plan to leave Goto, led by Gojo and his new cursed alliance.

It was confirmed to run for two full series, meaning that the next season should last for 24-26 episodes. Need a refresher on what's already gone? After defeating Cursed Wombs Eso and Kechizu, Yuji and Nobara reunite with Megumi. However, for the sake of the anime, Sukuna uses her mouth on Yuji's hand - eating his finger and bringing him one step closer to regaining his powers.

Expect the new season to be all about this malevolent evil, as well as the third Cursed Womb Trio, Choso teaming up with comic villains Geto and Mahito.

Jujutsu High also has a small mole whose teacher, Utahime, is looking for an ambiguous wizard. It also makes up a large part of the upcoming season.

In the second season finale, Yuji, Megumi, Nobara (as well as Maki and Panda) are recommended to be promoted to first class witches - and Gojo invites them to participate in a new mission...

As a part of the Jump Festa celebration, the first Jujutsu Kaisen season 2 trailer has been made available. Even without any actual video, the Japanese teaser, which gives brief glimpses of several of the season's major characters, offers a tantalising preview of what's to come. Watch it up there.
